Emberfall Saga

Emberfall Saga is the rare mobile RPG that doesn't treat your attention like a resource to be farmed. The story follows a band of travelers trying to relight a dying sun, and the writing is a cut above what I expected from a touch-screen game.
Combat is turn-based and reads clearly even on a small screen. Icons are big, the queue of upcoming turns sits along the top, and you can speed up animations once you know what you're doing. Party building has real depth without drowning you in menus.
Battery is the one caution here. The lush backgrounds push the GPU, and my phone got warm during longer sessions. Dropping the frame cap to 30 in settings fixed most of it without hurting the feel.
