How to game on mobile without killing your battery
Mobile games and battery life are natural enemies, but you have more control than you think. The single biggest win is capping frame rate. Dropping a racing or RPG game from 60 to 30 frames can cut heat dramatically with barely a hit to how it feels.
Brightness is the quiet killer. Games with dark palettes let you lower the screen a lot, and auto-brightness often sits higher than you need. I keep mine manual during long sessions.
Turn off the extras you don't notice. Background music you're not listening to, haptic buzz on every tap, and high-end particle effects all draw power. Most good games bury these in a settings menu worth exploring.
Finally, airplane mode is underrated for offline-friendly games. The radio hunting for signal on a train drains more than the game itself. If the title doesn't need a connection, cut it off.
